Elizabeth "Libby" (Conner) Featherston

Elizabeth (Libby) Conner Featherston, 85, of Murrayville, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Born on October 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy Conner.

Libby was married to Frank Featherston on June 16, 1956 and they made their home in Lilburn, GA. The family has many precious memories of the gatherings held there. Libby’s career was at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, GA. After she and Frank both retired, they moved back to Murrayville to be closer to family and friends.

Libby was loved and adored by all who knew her. She had such a caring and giving spirit. Her sweetness, hospitality, and her love of flowers and decorating are very well-known. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Brookshire; sister and brother-in-law, Clydine and Joe Hulsey; sister-in-law, Carolyn Conner; and sister-in-law, Jenny Conner.

She is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Vivian Conner; brother, George Conner; brother-in-law, Joel Brookshire; sister and brother-in-law, Edwina and Wayne Blackburn; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Nancy Conner; brother, Charles Conner; brother, Donald Conner; brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Jean Conner; sister-in-law Kathryn Rogers; special friends, Marie and Allen Fields; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family.

Due to current health restrictions, the family will hold a private visitation and graveside service on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12pm.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and The Oaks/Pruitt Health-Lanier of Buford, GA for taking such good care of Libby during these past several weeks of her declining health.
