With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Elsene Jeanette Whelchel, who departed this life on June 11, 2026, at the age of ninety-five.

Jeanette was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a beloved great-grandmother. Her life was defined by her love of Jesus Christ – her Savior, and unwavering dedication to her family.

As a mother, Jeanette was passionate, committed, and endlessly supportive. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a source of comfort, laughter, and cherished memories.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Underwood, her son, Joey Whelchel and his wife Kristie, her great-grandson, Grant Underwood, her bonus granddaughter, Kennedy Holbert, and her husband Corey, bonus grandson Avery Webster and his wife Mary, and a bonus great-grandson Henry Webster, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the years we shared with Jeanette and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will remain with us always, reminding us of the love she gave so freely. Her memory will remain, always being a reminder of the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little and Davenport Funeral Home, Gainesville, Ga. with Rev. Clyde Self officiating. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville Ga. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
