Evelyn Whelchel Brock, 78 of Gillsville died Friday April 26, 2024.  Evelyn was born November 1, 1945 in Gainesville to the late Harold and Cassie Mae Whelchel.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by husband of 50 years Johnny C. Brock, sisters, Louise Clark, Inez Thurmond and Robbie Stevens, brothers, Ray Whelchel, Dennis Whelchel, Perry Whelchel, Leroy Whelchel and Buddy Whelchel.

She is survived by her sons, John Brock and Jay (Tiffany) Brock, grandchildren, Mason Brock, Lillie Brock, Walker Brock, Blake Campbell, Chad Brock and Emily (Jalen Peddrew) Brock, great-grandchildren, Mahsi and Ezra Peddrew.

Visitation will be Sunday April 28, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Monday April 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Kenneth Barrett officiating.  Interment will follow at Dunagan United Methodist Church Cemetery.
