Fay Hulsey Carver Lindsey

Mrs. Fay Hulsey Carver Lindsey, 84, of Gainesville unexpectedly passed away at her home Saturday, December 31, 2022, following a sudden illness.

Mrs. Lindsey was born to Joe and Nettie Hulsey in Gainesville, Georgia, on November 26, 1938.  She was a 1956 graduate of Clermont High School and lived in the Gainesville area for most of her life.  Mrs. Lindsey worked at Regions Bank until her retirement in 2002 and was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville where she cared for many children in the church nursery.

Mrs. Lindsey is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Lindsey; sisters Virginia Henson and Janet Richardson; brother Bob Hulsey; infant son Christopher Carver; and stepson Scott Lindsey.  Survivors include her son, Joseph Carver (Jessica); stepdaughters Rebekah Thompson (Joe) and Susan Lewis (Ted); stepdaughter-in-law Allene Lindsey; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.  The family will receive friends in the church parlor immediately afterward.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, 800 S. Enota Dr., Gainesville, GA 30501; Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 863765, Orlando, FL 32886; or a charity of your choice in memory of Fay Lindsey.
