With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Gilder Hayden Howard, II, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his treasured daughter, loving parents, brother, uncle, and numerous cousins, all of whom were a central part of his life and heart.
Gil loved his family. Fearless and dependable, he never hesitated to step in when his family needed him, always standing up for them with loyalty and courage. A hardworking and generous man, he consistently put the needs of others before his own.
He had a natural gift for connecting with people. His humor, charm, and unique way with words could turn strangers into friends and bring laughter at the perfect time. His kindness was genuine, and his heart was always open.
The lake held a special place in Gil’s heart. It was there, on the water, that he found peace and solace. Surrounded by its calm, he felt most at home.
Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, his generosity, and the love he gave so freely.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Alta Vista Cemetery.
