Glenda Joy Durant, 83, of Pendergrass, Georgia passed away on January 13, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Glenda was born on July 26, 1942, to Earl Freeman Durant and Antoinette Harvill Durant at Hurricane, Alabama. She graduated from Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette, Alabama. She also completed some college coursework at various schools.
For most of her life, Glenda lived in the New Orleans, Louisiana metropolitan area. She worked for many years in various industrial trades at companies such as Owens-Illinois Glass, Dow Chemical, and ExxonMobil.
She enjoyed listening to music, reading, completing puzzles, and painting.
Glenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey D. and Amy F. Trawick of Pendergrass, Georgia, grandchildren Nathaniel Trawick of Maysville, Georgia and Elizabeth Trawick of Mobile, Alabama, great grandsons Fletcher and Brooks Trawick of Maysville, Georgia, sisters Deborah Hill and Myra Muniz of Bowman, South Carolina, sister Jacquelyne Martin of Bay Minette, Alabama, and brother and sister-in-law Barry and Karen Durant of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Antoinette Durant, sisters Nancy Roberts and Amanda McDonald, and her long-time companion Carol (Stephanie) Monjour
