Harold Ernest Pinson

Harold Ernest Pinson, 91 of Gainesville passed away Sunday March 29, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Pinson was the son of the late Ernest and Faye Martin Pinson.  He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and  also served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean War.    Mr. Pinson was an active member of the First Baptist Church on Green Street, where he also was a member of the Anglers Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Devonne and Buddy Haynes, Lula; granddaughter and husband, Courtney and Brad Harrison, Greer, SC; granddaughter, Memori Haynes, and great grandson, A.J. Haynes,  both of Weewdowee, AL; sister, Linda Gardner, Gainesville.

Mr. Pinson is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Martha Jo Riley Pinson; daughter, Stephanie Bruce; brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Bonnie Pinson and a brother, Richard Tankersley.

A private family graveside service will be held Thursday April 2, 2020 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Due to the mandated regulations the visitation service will be a drop in visitation only, allowing 10 people at a time in the visitation room.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to the Parkinson's Foundation Research or ones favorite charity in memory of Mr. Pinson.
