Harry Douglas McCoy

Doug McCoy of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away Sunday evening March 13th, 2022. He was 70 years old. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 PM on Thursday, May 19, at the Masonic Lodge on Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville, Georgia.

 Doug was born May 19th, 1951 to Jack and Hazel McCoy and grew up near Nashville, Tennessee. He served his community, his Masonic lodge 433 of Dacula, Georgia, and was an active member of the Silverdawg program of the University of Georgia, and the Clan Society of the United States of America and Scotland.

 Doug was a proud father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Doug is survived by his wife of 49 years Teresa Gregory McCoy of Cornelia, Georgia; children Jason McCoy and his wife Halle, Julie McGee and her husband Ed, Jesse McCoy and his wife Kaycee, and John McCoy and his wife Stephanie. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
