J. Errol Barton

J. Errol Barton, 82 of Gainesville passed away Friday January 1, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Barton was the son of the late Arvin and Cosetta Lee Barton.  He was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Blanche Anderson Barton, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law. Nelletia and Billy Barrick, Bethlehem; step-daughter, Wendy Biddy, Gainesville; step-son, Stanley Cabe, Braselton; sister, Deborah Mullis, Murrayville; grandchildren, Cyndi O'Neal, Lawrenceville; Nick Sturdy, Bethlehem; great grandchildren, Charlie Sturdy, Raiden Sturdy, Lennon O'Neal, Myles O'Neal, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Barton is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Barbara Ann Carlisle Barton;  son, Nathan Barton, step-son, Ronnie Cabe and brother, Ronnie Barton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Milton Harris and Rev. Billy Blocker will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday January 4 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
