James Marshall Dale Obituary
Marshall James Dale, of Gillsville Georgia, went home to be with the Lord, at the age of 90.
Marshall was born to Sam Dale and Hannah Brock Dale on August 17, 1935, in Maysville Georgia. On February 6, 1954, Marshall married his soul mate, Wilma Buffington. He was her devoted husband for 72 years. A true love story that spanned an entire lifetime, and grew into a large family, including Jeannie (Randall), James (Debbie), and Kaye (Tommy), 12 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and one surviving brother, John Dale.
After attending Piedmont, Young Harris, University of Georgia, and Emory, Marshall finished with an education in seminary and psychology in 1959. He went on to become an elder of the
Methodist conference.
After completing his education, he started creating a beautiful legacy leading many to Christ through scripture, stories and jokes. During his discipleship, he pastored various churches. He
retired from preaching after 63 years but continued to lead others spiritually and will forever through his memory.
When Marshall wasn’t sowing spiritual seeds, he was sowing in his garden. He grew fruit and vegetables not only to feed himself, but also to anyone who walked through the door. He truly
loved feeding the souls and bodies of everyone.
Marshall built ministries and the buildings that held them. He also built the home in which him and his wife lived in, and the treehouse that his grandchildren played in.
He was an entrepreneur of many businesses.
Marshall is having a glad reunion day with those who have gone before him. This includes his mother and father, his siblings, and his grandson Georgie Pressley. He is also meeting with those that he did not realize he had touched, the friends along the way.
Oh, friends the day has come, and now Marshall Dale is home with His savior.
