James "Randy" Meetze Obituary

James R. Meetze (Randy), 79, passed away on March 25, 2025.  He was born October 17, 1945 in Columbia, SC, a son of the late Wesley Randolph and Florence Elizabeth Meetze.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Hoover, his daughter Lisa Anne Meetze and his grandson Brian Scott Bradshaw.

Randy loved spending time with his wife Jan, whom he adored, loved to shoot pool, dance, spend time with family & friends, binge watch Sons of Anarchy and watch the Georgia Bulldogs play football on Saturdays.  In his early days he coached baseball and football, enjoyed being on the lake, raising his children and was able to travel the world for business until retirement.

He was a loving father, a loving Paw Paw and a loving Husband.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Jan Meetze, son Jayme Meetze (wife Amanda Meetze) of Dallas, NC, son Blair Meetze (wife Vicki Meetze) of Providence Forge, VA, and daughter Rae Banks (husband Bradley Banks) of Jackson, GA, Stepdaughter Jaime  Askins (husband Matt Askins), Stepson Matthew McNeal (wife Calie McNeal), Stepson Chris McNeal & Kara LaFleur and Stepson Jonathan McNeal.

Paw Paw will be missed by his Grandchildren, Sommer Lynn Bradshaw, Tyler James Meetze, Kamryn Alexis Meetze, Jackson Andrew Meetze, Hunter Tsali Botts, Hope Robinson Bramlett and Brandon Meetze and 9 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home with Dr. Brad Banks and Pastor Austin Houston officiating, The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.

Little & Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
