Jason Crow Obituary

Jason Owen Crow, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family late Sunday, January 24th in his home in Marietta, GA, after a year-long battle with cancer. He is survived by his siblings Rachel L Crow of Marietta, GA, James & Joyce Crow of Marietta, GA, and Joel Crow & Alissa Manolescu of Charleston, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Cary H Crow of Oakwood and Marietta, GA; and his grandparents Mr. J.O. & Mrs. Pluma Crow of Oakwood GA, and Mr. Luther Owens & Mrs. Beatrice Owens of Gainesville, GA.

Jason graduated ceremonially from East Hall High School in Gainesville, GA, where he excelled in weight lifting. After high school, Jason moved back to his birthplace of Marietta, GA, where he lived independently and took great pride in improving and caring for his home. Jason worked with many local employment and training programs for the disabled, including The Tommy Nobis Center, Marietta Enrichment Center, Art & Food, Glidden Paint, NE GA Medical Center, and Walmart.

As a devoted Christian, Jason attended Hickory Flat Church of God, The Congregational Holiness Youth Camp, and Oakwood Tabernacle and Family Worship Center. Jason was an Olympian in the Special Olympic games, where he earned a gold medal in bowling. He also loved camping, cooking, putt-putt and the occasional chance to drive the golf cart with his brothers on golf outings. Jason will always be remembered as a kind, helpful and loving man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
