Jenene (Wetherford) Smith

Jenene Wetherford Smith, age 76, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in 1949, to the late Robert and Ethelene Wetherford. Jenene enjoyed sewing and various other crafts. She enjoyed cooking for her family every chance she got. Jenene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter Smith; children, Tracy (Angie) Smith, Travis Smith, and Trina (Chris) Hudson; grandchildren, Colton (Julie) Smith, Corbin (Lindsey) Smith, Alayna (Hayden) Cook, Victoria (Justin) Leonard, Brooke (Bobby) Mendenhall, Blake Hudson, and Zander Smith; siblings, Janice Bittle, Jeneva Edge, and Troy Wetherford, several nieces and nephews; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA with Dr. Corbin Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Murrayville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
