Jimmy Lee McCauley Obituary

Jimmy Lee McCauley peacefully went home to the Lord on November 8, 2021, he was 83 years old. Born in Natural Wells, Va. He was a great man who was an Olympic Marksman in the Army, when he retired after 21 years of service after which he was inducted into the USAMU International Pistol Hall of Fame.

He went on to become City Manager of Oakwood, Ga, was very dedicated to the City and retired there. He was one of five children. He is survived by his beloved wife Violet McCauley. He is the father of two daughters, that tremendously loved him Terrie Powers and Vicky Anderson and Son in law Preston Anderson. An amazing Grandfather to all his Grandchildren and absolutely adored his 4 Great Grandchildren.

A man with so much love in his heart for everyone, full of life and shared his imagination with all his family and friends. He loved animals, he was the kindest person to everyone in his path. He always took care of the less fortunate. Anyone who knew him loved him. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, wildlife, and fed the birds and deer that came to his house. You could always find him working in his workshop, the man was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and grandsons, going camping with his grandchildren and his buddy Tony, and loved his trips to Cherokee. He has traveled around the world during his time with the Army, just wanted to live a simple life.

He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He will always be remembered in our hearts.
