Joan Garrison Conner

Mrs. Joan Garrison Conner, 79, of Oakwood died May 8, 2021. A native of Gainesville, Mrs. Conner was the daughter of the late Ora Albert and Murtie (Stargel) Garrison.

Joan was a member of Oakwood Tabernacle Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Leroy Conner and son David Leroy Conner. Joan loved her family and her God and was devoted completely to both. Her nature was to love, forgive, and share her story with others. She brightened the room with her compassion and willingness to accept everyone just as they were. Her one goal was to ensure that everyone she met also met Jesus.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Joel and Kim Conner of Sugar Hill. Daughter-in-law and son-in-law Marie and Brian Ivy of Gainesville. Granddaughter Catherine Marie Conner of Gainesville.  Grandson Derek James Conner of Sugar Hill and great granddaughter Brooklynn Marie Conner of Gainesville.

 Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little and Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. Rev. Gary Osteen will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
