Joel Malcolm Sosebee

Joel Malcolm Sosebee, 67 of Lula died Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his residence.

Born September 13, 1954, in Hall County, Georgia, Joel was the son of Charles Sosebee and Step Mother Delores Sosebee and son of Dorothy Clark Chadwick and Step Father Bob Chadwick.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Melissa Byrnes Sosebee, his son Joshua Sosebee, and his sister Iris Summitt.

Joel attended South Hall High School, was a Vietnam-era veteran of the US Navy, and was retired from General Motors, Doraville. 

He is survived by his brothers Jeff Sosebee and Gary Sosebee (wife - Bobbie), brother-in-law Sid Summitt, and grandchildren Hannah Sosebee and Rebecca Sosebee. Nieces and Nephews Chris Sosebee, Missy Summitt, Craig Summitt, Emily Sosebee, Jared Sosebee, Alio Taylor, and Samuel Sosebee. Friends and fishing partners, Skippy Skipper and Randy Deaton. 

A celebration of life will be Held at the graveside in Alta Vista Cemetery  Saturday at 12 pm April 23rd, 2022.
