Johnny Kenimer Obituary

Johnny Lynn Kenimer 64, of Murrayville, GA, passed away to his Heavenly home on January 13, 2022, at Chelsey Home & Rehabilitation in Dahlonega, GA., after a struggle with Vascular Dementia.

He was a machine operator for paving company, but his favorite job of his life was a Bus Driver for Hall County Board of Education. Johnny was saved on February 16, 2016, and the love of his life passed away on February 28, 2016. Johnny & Buff had no children.  He was born at Jacksonville, N.C. on May 30, 1957. Johnny served in the USMC, he was given an honorable discharge due to an injury during a training exercise, he was a proud Marine wanting to follow in the steps of his Daddy who served 22 years in the USMC.

He was predeceased by his wife Martha Sue (Buff) Kenimer, Daddy, John L. Kenimer and Mama, Eunice Vernell (Nell) Kenimer.

He was survived by two sisters, Deborah (Debbie) Faulkner & brother-in-law Benny H. Faulkner of Murrayville, GA. Cynthia (Cindy) Mize & brother-in-law Stanley Mize, of Gainesville, Georgia. Niece Veronnica and husband Jimmy Hayes, Niece Lauren and husband Brandon Smiley.  Nephew Benjamin (Ben) Faulkner, Nephew Cody Mize and wife Brittany Mize.  He had five great nieces, Katie, Gracie & Raelyn Hayes & Alice & Leah Smiley. Four great nephews, John Hayes, Sawyer Smiley, & Parker Mize, Hunter Faulkner, Kenneth Faulkner & Fiancé’ Katharine Young. Johnny loved his entire family.  He adored all his nieces and nephews. He was a kind, sweet, funny man who will be sorely missed. He had a fur baby named Tippy who he dearly loved and missed and a fur baby Peanut Butter who resides with his sister Debbie.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at New Haven Church in Gainesville, GA, conducted by Bobby Griffin, Pastor of New Haven Church and a life-long friend, Stanley Mize, brother-in-law, Veronnica A. Hayes Niece.

Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Humane Society of your choice. Thank you for all the phone calls but most of all the prayers that were sent up during this long journey. Johnny is at peace now, resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
