Jonathan Peyton Butler, age 20, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019.

Jonathan Peyton Butler was born on February 7th, 1999 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of Brittney S. Boone of Oakwood, Georgia and Peyton Butler of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Jonathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Randall I. Boone, of Millen, Georgia. Jonathan leaves behind his mother Brittney S. Boone, Oakwood, Georgia, his father Peyton Butler, Lawrenceville, Georgia, two sisters, Alexis Victoria Mize of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Lilly L. Gould of Charleston, S.C., his maternal grandmother, Geneva “Gennie” Oglesby, Oakwood, GA, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P. Butler, Lawrenceville, GA. He also left behind several aunts, uncles, and many cousins on both sides of the family.

Last, but not least is, Aaliyah Sorm, a very special girl who has been in Jonathan’s life for the last three years.  Aaliyah is in Nursing School at University of North Georgia in Oakwood, Georgia. She was his soul mate and the love of his life. The family will be forever grateful that Jonathan had this special young lady in his life. She loved him unconditionally.

Jonathan Peyton Butler was a beautiful, intelligent, blue-eyed, young man whose smile would absolutely light up the room. He loved clowning around in front of the camera and making people laugh.  Jonathan was taken from us way too soon and had his whole life in front of him. He had just recently applied to go to college and was supposed to start in January. In the words of your mother, Brittney S. Boone, “Jonathan Peyton Butler you will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.”

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Highway, SW, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.

The family will receive friends and family immediately following the service at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Reception room at the same location. This will be a time to share memories and celebrate the life of Jonathan Peyton Butler. A meal will be provided, and everyone is welcome to join us.
