Joseph Ashley "Joe" Manring

Joseph Ashley Manring, 77, of Gainesville, left us on Sunday, September 26th, surrounded by his children. 

Joseph was born in Mobile Alabama and was adopted by Mary and Ken Manring. He grew up in Foley, Alabama and graduated from The University of Alabama. Joe remained a lifelong Alabama fan, Roll Tide! 

Joe worked the majority of his career as an HR Manager at TRW and ZF Industries. He prided himself of knowing everyone in the plant personally, and he always had a joke to tell to anyone who would listen. 

Joe was exceptional at his job, but he was even more exceptional as a father to his children, Ken, Mary Ashley, and Patrick, and as a loving and faithful husband to JoAnn, his wife of 53 years. Joe was a proud grandfather to two girls who will miss his sense of humor and thoughtful gifts such as whoopie cushions and Groucho Marx glasses. 

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 2pm at the Grace Episcopal Church. All who loved him are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Meals on Wheels or The Grace Epsicopal Church Outreach Committee Fund.
