Joyce (Asbell) Reddy

Joyce A. Reddy, 81, of Gainesville formerly of Tucker, Ga.  died Sunday February 23, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Jeffersonville, Ga. July 26, 1938, Mrs. Reddy was the daughter of the late Eugene and Louise Smith Asbell.  She was a former resident of Tucker, Ga. before moving to Hall County a number of years ago.  Mrs. Reddy graduated from A.L. Miller High School in Macon, Ga. in 1956 and married  the love of her life, May 26, 1957 Delmas S. "Del" Reddy.   Mrs. Reddy retired from the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in 1998  with over 30 years service as the Southeastern Regional Supervisor.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; David Michael and Susan Reddy of Halifax, VA; Jason Scott and Cade Reddy of Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren, Daniel O'Neal Reddy, Alexandra Reddy, Banks McLean Reddy; brother and sister-in-law, George Eugene Asbell (Janice), College Grove, TN;  sister and brother-in-law, Jeane Pirkle (James), Greensboro, GA; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Reddy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Delmas S. "Del" Reddy, and sister, Annie Louise Smith Asbell.

Funeral services will be held at  1:00 p.m. Friday February 28, 2020 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted but those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Reddy.
