June Hudson Mustachio, 81, passed away peacefully leaving behind a life defined by strength and a deep love for her Christian faith and family. June took great pride in her work and the role she played in her community. She enjoyed her career with the Gwinnett County Police Department and later served as an Investigator with the Gwinnett County State Solicitor’s Office. Her work reflected her strong sense of justice, attention to detail, and commitment to doing what was right.
June enjoyed a life in Clermont, Georgia, where she found comfort in her surroundings and connection with those around her. Beyond her career, she enjoyed time spent outdoors taking walks, photography, bowling, and taking care of her flowers. These were hobbies that brought her peace and connection with others. Above all, June was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Mustachio. The two of them enjoyed 63 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughter, Angie Carruth, and Angie’s husband, Jeff Carruth, along with their daughters, Katie Morgan and her husband, Tyler Morgan, and Carrie Carruth; and her son, Michael Mustachio, his wife, Cindy Mustachio, and their son, Tony Mustachio. She also leaves behind two sisters, Helen King and her husband, Hal King, and Kay Loudner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Dewain Hudson and Mary Taylor Hudson, and her brother, Wayne Hudson, who is survived by his wife, Diane Hudson.
June will be remembered for her quiet strength that grounded her family and she had a lasting impact on everyone that knew her.
The family would like to thank Manor Lake, Gainesville, for their care and compassion during the last year of her life as well as the Caritas Hospice Team who served her needs in her last months of life.
A private service will be held to honor her life. June Hudson Mustachio’s legacy lives on through her family and the example she set each day.
