Kenneth "Cory" Reed

Kenneth Cory Reed (Cory) of Gastonia, NC, aged 46, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Summerville, SC. Cory was born in Gastonia, NC on September 10, 1979.

His parents are Kenneth L. Reed and the late Linda Coyle Reed. He was a great little brother to the late Kevin Reed and the best big brother to Daniel Reed. After graduating from high school, Cory found his love for helping people in the customer service industry for 14 years and was disappointed when his body would no longer allow him to do the work. He had the biggest heart and made many friends through his work. His strong faith brought him to Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Gastonia where he made a second family.

 Cory had many passions, but he loved to play mini golf, visit amusement parks, and watch a good scary movie. Cory was a big fan of classic country and gospel music and was always very proud to tell you about his time singing in the high school choir and for his Church. He loved everyone unconditionally and he made sure that the important people in his life knew it to his very last breath. And everyone who loved him was so lucky to know it. Cory’s last selfless act was to provide the gift of lift as an organ donor through “We are Sharing Hope SC” and his loving spirit will live on forever.

A graveside service will be held on Friday November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. Rev. Randall Reed will officiate.
