Leola Carroll

Leola Josephine Carroll, age 88, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. Born in 1936 to the late Verse and Lessie Simmons, Leola lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her warmth, kindness, and love for her family.

Leola found joy in the simple pleasures of life—sitting outside in the sunshine, taking scenic rides around town, and, above all, spending time with her loved ones. Her laughter and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Leola is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ottis Carroll, and her son, Tim Carroll. She leaves behind cherished memories with her family and friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Gail) Carroll, Janet Carroll, and Andy Carroll; brothers, Ray (Wanda) Simmons and Bobby (Patty) Simmons; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church in Murrayville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
