Libby C. Licata, age 80, of Gainesville, Ga, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Hartsville, TN and spent most of her adult life in Tampa, FL where she was cosmetologist and a business owner.

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a remarkable woman whose light touched the lives of many people.  Libby’s greatest treasure was her family, her sons Joe Licata (Ginger) and Sam Licata and her beloved extended family including her grandchildren, Jordan (Kaci) Licata, Justin (Caitlin) Licata and great grandchildren, Luca, Mila, and Julien and her beloved extended family Sybil, Julianne, Ryan and Elizabeth.

Libby's larger-than-life personality made her a true standout in any crowd. From her hilarious stories, the kindness she showed those that crossed her path, and the love she had for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she had a knack for sparking laughter, spreading warmth, and dishing out love and advice with her sassy southern twang. 

Though we may shed tears for our Libby, let's also raise a glass of her signature beverage, (white wine with ICE) in her honor and celebrate the joy, laughter, and love she brought into all our lives. Rest in peace, Libby - your spirit will forever shine bright in our memories, and your legacy of laughter and kindness will live on in our hearts. Cheers to you, our beloved firecracker!

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00pm followed by Funeral services in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.
