Lynnore Stephanie (Koshney) Buersmeyer
Lynnore, 78 of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday Aug 25, 2025 in her sleep at her home following a long illness. She is survived by her children Zack Buersmeyer and Stephanie Buersmeyer Tyree, their spouses Cheryl Joseph Buersmeyer and Gregory Allen Tyree, grandchildren Zoe Loren Tyree, Aimee Quinn Tyree, Madeline Michelle Tyree and Alice Opal Buersmeyer, her sister Diane Koshney, and many friends who count as family.
Lynnore’s life is defined by her many close relationships over the years. Lynnore hailed from Webster, NY where she grew up in a house over 100 years old on a farm (her sister Diane Koshney still lives in the same house). If you asked her about it, she would recite all the amazing things about her hometown from Genny Beer to Abbott’s Custard. Those who knew young Lynnore might remember her running a produce stand at the end of the driveway. Some of her oldest friends like Jill Ippel date back to her childhood years.
Following her graduation from Webster High, Lynnore attended classes at Rochester Business Institute. She was introduced to Daniel Buersmeyer by her friend from 9th grade algebra, Sue (Butcher) Jensen, Danny was attending the University of Rochester where a great many more friends entered their lives. Once he graduated and started a job with the IRS, after a brief stay in an apartment in NYC, then moved to their first house in Springfield, VA and started their family.
Danny’s job had them move across the country to the Bay Area, back to DC, Atlanta, overseas for a tour in Egypt, and back to DC. At each waypoint, they acquired new friends and new stories. As their friends' own lives would weave across the country through their own moves, they always made sure to touch base especially through regular vacations to NC Outer Banks. There are many pictures of suntanned encampments of the Liberto-Jensen-Buersmeyer-Hertz-Beverly clans (and ever growing additions) on the beach with fair-skinned Lynnore freckling under multiple layers of sunscreen, clothing and umbrellas!
Throughout all the moves, Lynnore ended up with the chance to redecorate many houses and eventually got her certification as an Interior Designer. This became a passion of hers, even after no longer practicing in the field, Lynnore loved to go antiquing and knew how to spot a real find.
As life continued, Lynnore found herself working for a real estate lawyer in Northern Virginia before finding a job with the Customs Service - working again with her old friend, Jill.
After Danny passed away in 2001, Lynnore took a job with the IRS until she retired. Following retirement, Lynnore was active by volunteering for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as a docent, enjoying trips to the opera, and traveling with friends dating back to the earliest DC days: Carolyn Thompson and Tricia Yandle.
Eventually, Lynnore made her final move to Gainesville, GA. She played cards, joined in book clubs, was active in the local Newcomers Society and loved when Cresswind would have bands play - Lynnore loved to dance the night away! Anyone remembering Lynnore today will think of her strong presence in any room, fearless opinions, exquisite taste, and loud laugh.
