Major Robert "Jim" Holmes

Major Robert “Jim” Holmes, USA, Retired,  passed away September 26, 2015.

Jim was born in Akron, Ohio on August 23, 1957 to the late Cal and Evelyn Holmes. Jim was known to have a tender heart and generous spirit.

His life and love will forever be missed.

Jim is survived by his cherished wife, Sydney.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Holmes and his sister, Betty Holmes Ripple.

He is survived by his children, Bob Gild, Beth Krzywicki, and Zola Holmes; grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, and Molly; sisters, Gloria Gmerick, Joan Thompson, Susan Fritz, Judee Hein, Mary Ann Holmes, Jill Roberts and Caroline McBroom; brothers, Gary Holmes and Jack Holmes; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A private interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery.
