Mamie Marie (Martin) Pettis, born on July 7, 1941, in Gainesville, GA, passed away surrounded by loved
ones. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmie Pettis, her cherished son Curtis Styles and his wife
Mary Styles, her beloved daughter Darlene Wilson and her husband Tim Wilson, her caring son Steven
DeLong and his wife Whitney DeLong, along with 9 adoring grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Odessa Smith, her father, Bascom Martin, and her beloved
sons, Bobby and Thomas Parks.
Throughout her remarkable life, Marie leaves behind a profound legacy of entrepreneurship. She
fearlessly owned and operated several successful restaurants, a thriving cleaning company, and North
Georgia Nursing Services. Her dedication to her community extended even further as she tirelessly
drove a school bus for Hall County for over a decade, impacting countless young lives along the way.
The family welcomes friends to join them in celebrating Marie life on Tuesday, September 26, from 5-8
p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, at
2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mamie Marie (Martin) Pettis will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of strength,
entrepreneurship, and love will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
