Martha Anne (Hulsey) Thomas

Martha Anne Thomas, age 84, a lifelong resident of Hall County, passed on Monday, April 20, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in 1941, to the late Elbert and Christine Hulsey. Martha was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA, where she was always playing the piano, organ or helping lead the choir. She was most proud of being a member of the Christians Quartet from 1971 to 1976. Martha loved traveling around singing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone she met. She retired from Warren Featherbone Company. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, James Henry Thomas; daughter, Kimberly Hubbard; brother, Keith Hulsey; sister-in-law, Donna Hulsey.

She is survived by her children, Matthew (Candy) Thomas, Melody (Jerry) Armour, and Stephen (Denise) Thomas; son-in-law, Steve Hubbard; grandchildren, Luke (Callie) Hubbard, Mark (Jessica) Hubbard, Jeremy Clark, Joshua Clark, James Thomas, Terri (Brandon) Palmer, Tyler (Madison) Armour, Cody Thomas, Conner (Morgan) Thomas; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cason, and Branch Hubbard, Lawson Hubbard, Jay, Aura-Lyn, and Micah Clark, Bailey and Brinlee Palmer, Cole Armour, Rhett, Cash and Bohen Thomas; brother, David Hulsey; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Wayne Clark, and Doris Thomas and Audrey Thomas; and a number of nieces and nephews; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

The family wants to give special thanks to Melanie, Sandy and everyone with Family Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Ricky Stone, Rev. Darin Cain, and Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
