Mary Nell White, 91, of Gainesville, Ga. passed away on July 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones following a period of declining health.

Mary Nell was born on June 2, 1935 to the late Charlie and May Lou Johnson Loggins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 yrs, Tony White, daughter Regan White along with all her siblings. Mary Nell was the last surviving child of the Charlie Loggins family.

Mrs. White graduated from Riverbend High School, where she played basketball. She was a long time devoted member of Dewberry #2 Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Gilstrap Plumbing, The Elks Club, and Supervisor at Veacon Lanier Packaging Co. Mary Nell was known as one of the best cooks in North Georgia. Her coconut cakes were a prize winner and loved by many. She was a caring person who helped many in her life. She loved her church and church family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Little and Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Darin Cain and Rev Robert Nix will officiate.

She is survived by a son, Jason White, daughter, Tonya Henley , grandsons, Ethan Southers, Ben Southers, and Jackson Henley, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as a host of close friends.
