Mary Katherine Allman

Mary Katherine Allman, 71 of Sautee-Nacoochee passed away December 27, 2022.

Following Graduation from the Seminary of the Southwest in 1990 in Austin, Texas Mary Katherine served as a Deacon at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi in July 1990 and was ordained there as well in December 1990. Following this, Mary Katherine served as a Chaplin at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee, followed by another Chaplin position at the Bishop School in La Jolla, California after completing a doctoral degree in Boston. 

Finally, following her retirement, and serving as a part—time minister in various capacities, Mary Katherine retired and pursued her life—dream to serve at the World Committee of Christian Meditators in Bonnevaux, France. Sadly, her second year of service there was cut short by the Covid Pandemic in 2021.  Her dear friends of thirty years, Keith and Emily Evans in Atlanta, Georgia welcomed her into their home until she was able to buy her own.  

A celebration of life for Mary Katherine will be held at a later date in Coronado, California by family and friends.
