Matthew Carson Adams, age 29, of Gillsville, GA passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was born in 1997, to Charles, Sr. and Sharron Adams. Matthew enjoyed the outdoors and animals; his niece even gave him the name “Snake Boy”. Matthew was hardworking and never liked to miss a day of work. He was a graduate of East Hall High School. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Travis Guess.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Sharron Adams; brother, Eli Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Trenton Parry; brother and sister-in-law,  Charles Adams, Jr. and Laura Riestra; nieces and nephews, Ellie Parry, Micah Parry, Jessica Gutierrez, Yamile Riestra, and Edward Gutierrez; grandmothers, Sherry Guess and Maggie Whitlock; uncles and aunts, Ben and Jenny Guess, Beth and Brandon Dukes, David Guess, Tim and  Vickie Adams, Debbie Whitlock, Cheryl and Russell Summerour, and Jan McGarry; and cousins, Kadyn Dukes , Allan, Taylor, and Logan Guess; along with many loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
