Mrs. Dale C. Dobbs

Mary Dale Cole Dobbs, 78, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on January 21, 2022. Dale was born in Gainesville to the late Woodrow Wilson Cole and Margaret Cross Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Cleve Dobbs, and her brother, John Woodrow Cole.

Dale retired in 1998 from Gainesville Manufacturing Company where she worked for 35 years in many roles and retired as the purchasing manager. Dale began a second career at Northeast Georgia, Inc. dba McDonald’s restaurants in the accounts payable department, retiring after 20 years in 2018. Dale has numerous close friends from both of her careers, meeting for lunch with former co-workers frequently.

Dale was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Dale enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two beautiful granddaughters. She loved shopping and was very competitive, loved games of trivia and matching wits with her children and grandchildren.

Dale is survived by her daughter and best friend, Kimberly Dobbs Scott and her husband, Gary Scott. Her son, Woody Dobbs and his wife, Teena Smith Dobbs. Her two granddaughters, Ansley Dobbs and Madeline Dobbs. Her sisters, Ann Cole Pittman, and Jenny & Jerry Ingram, and her sister-in-laws, Linda Cole and Lorelle Dobbs Garner. Her maternal aunts, Rachel & Clyde Dacus and Nancy Cross Ingram. Dale is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A joint memorial service for Wayne & Dale Dobbs will be on Sunday, January 30th at 3:00pm at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:00pm. Due to the ongoing pandemic, masks are encouraged.
