Rev. Ben Tapp

Rev. James “Ben” Benjamin Tapp, age 96, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born in 1929, to the late E. J. and Ida Tapp. Ben was a Congregational Holiness Minister and evangelized for many years. Ben pastored several churches including New Holland C.H Church, Bethel Temple C.H. Church, Union Grove C.H. Church, Mt. Sinia C.H. Church, Alto C.H. Church, Free Chapel, Rock Hill C.H. Church, Big Cove P. H. Church and Crossroads Pentecostal.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moon Tapp; sons, Michael and Samuel Tapp, and daughter, Sheila Jean Tapp; along with 8 siblings.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Robert Tapp, Melissa Diaz, and Jessica Page; great grandchildren, Ezra Tapp, Ava Page, Marcus Page, Seth Page, Issac Diaz and Rio Diaz; several nieces and nephews; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Comer Ledford and Rev. Legrande Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
