Rev. David Fitzpatrick

On May 4, 2015, David McLoy Fitzpatrick, Sr. flew into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom he had faithfully served all the days of his life. David was a lifelong Bulldog. He served as a pastor for over 30 years and for the last 17 had served as Pastor of the Gainesville Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

He was a teacher, counselor, devoted husband, loving father, and adoring Papa.

David is survived by his parents, Bertie Mae and Horace Fitzpatrick of Cleveland, GA.; four siblings, Carol, Mike, Roger and Angie; wife of 45 years, Margie Fitzpatrick of Braselton, GA.; son and daughter in law, David, Jr. and Jenn Fitzpatrick, grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew and Sarah Grace all of Dallas, GA.; daughter and son in law, Michelle and Trevor Thomas, grandchildren, Caleb, Jesse, Caroline and Noah all of Gainesville, GA.; daughter and son in law, Suzanne and Mark Nunnally, grandchildren, Ashlyn, Sydney and John Mark all of Pendergrass, GA; son and daughter in law, Jeremy and Jennifer Fitzpatrick and grandson Hogan all of Conyers, GA.; as well as countless friends and students.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1397 Thompson Bridge Rd. Gainesville, GA 30501. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation. Pastor Jerry Bryant will officiate. Casual dress is appropriate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
