Robert Allen Stone, age 82, of Gainesville, GA, formally of Saltville, VA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. He was born in Baileysville, WV to the late John A. Stone
and Marie Bailey Stone.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He never met a stranger
and loved to tell stories about his life. Bob also loved old cars, baseball, and Jesus. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell Stone and Albert
Stone.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Linda Sykes Stone, his children Robert Michael Stone (Shannon), Dr. Karen Stone-Fortune (Rodney), and Savanah Sykes
Martin (Taylor); grandchildren Kristen Benedetto (Jesse), Hayden Saucier (Anna Claire), Bailey Dileo (Drew), Avery Stone, Rachel Hall, and Ivy Martin; six great grandchildren and many beloved family members.
There will be a private family Celebration of Life service in Gainesville GA at a later date.
