Sherry Whitmire Dale

Sherry Whitmire Dale, age 82, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in 1944, to the late Jay and Ruby Whitmire. She was a charter member of Pine Crest Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA. Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Keith and Kenneth Whitmire; and granddaughter, Hunter Dale.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joe Dale; sons, Michael (Wendy) Dale, Mark Dale, and Brandon (Allie) Dale; aunt, Jessie Garrett; sister-in-law, Shirley Whitmire; 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
