Sue Stewart

Mrs. Sue Stewart, 96 of Gainesville passed away Friday September 13, 2024.

Born in Cherokee County, Mrs. Stewart lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Larman Coleman.  She was a homemaker and a foster mother to over 100 children.  Mrs. Stewart was the oldest member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mariea Vickers, Oakwood, son, John Stewart, Flowery Branch, daughters-in-law, Martha Stewart, Gainesville, Bea Stewart, Jefferson, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. R.B. Stewart, sons, Gary Stewart, Stanley Stewart, daughter, Melody Park, grandchildren, Amber Maddox and Andrea Bell.

Funeral services will be held Monday September 16, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Grant will officiate.  Interment will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Charles Shadburn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday September 15 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
