Tex Davis Forrester, 91 of Gainesville passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday March 23, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Forrester was the son of the late Garland and Lillie Myers Forrester. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from General Motors and was a member of Northside Family Worship Center.
Mr. Forrester is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Charles Scott Caston, siblings, Rev. Larry Forrester, Jimmy Forrester, Omazelle Carter, Velva Tribble, Verden Forrester, Huel Forrester.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Barbara Hudgins Forrester, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Debbie Forrester. Hiawassee, Ga., daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Caston, Cumming, Ga., grandchildren, Claire Lewis, Ross Caston, Daniel Brock, Matt Brock, great grandchildren, Miles Lewis, Madison Carter, brother and sister-in-law, Emory and Joyce Forrester, Lula, sister, Sheila Roberts, Kingston, NC, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Thursday March 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alta Vista Cemetery. Rev. Tony Elrod will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
