Thomas D. "Tom" Peterson

Thomas D. Peterson, 56, passed away February 14, 2020 at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Tom was born June 4, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Walter L. “Bud,” and Lorraine Fischer Peterson.

Tom moved to Gainesville with his family as a young child. He spent his professional career leading his family’s businesses both in Gainesville, Georgia and Springdale, Arkansas.

Tom was an active member of the Wingmen Motor Club 9339 North Georgia, for almost 10 years, serving various leadership positions along with promoting brotherhood and camaraderie. Tom was raised to the master’s degree at the Mount Zion Masonic Lodge #316 becoming a Freemason. He was loved by many and missed by all.

Tom is survived by both his parents, siblings and their spouses: Tim and Resel Peterson, Tonya “Toni” and Warren Howe, Ty and Seema Peterson. His niece Taylor Peterson; nephews Buddy Peterson, and Mac Howe.
