Walter Robert Elliott

Walter Elliott age 82 of Gainesville, Ga. died Saturday June 11, 2022, following an extended illness.

A Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday June 14,2022 at the Chestatee Baptist Church, the Rev. David Skinner and Rev. James Thompson will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday June 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.

Mr. Elliott was a native and lifetime resident of Hall county, drove a Hall county school bus for 17 years, he owned and operated his own poultry farm for many years, was a member of Chestatee Baptist Church and the son of the late Leonard and Izzie Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edwin, Ivan, Clifton. T.L. Sr., Eston, Leary and a sister, Claudine Skinner. Walter enjoyed life, worked hard for his family and was a joy to be around.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Chastain Elliott, daughter and son in law, Sheila and Chris Gillespie, son and daughter in law, Alan and Terri Elliott. grandchildren, Justin Elliott, Matthew and Jacob Gillespie, greatgrandchildren, Izzie Elliott and Eliza and Carson Gillespie, special friends, Joel Brookshire, Curtis Anderson, Robert Burell, Wayne Winkler as well as many other relatives and friends.
