Wanda Fay Bonds, 76, of Gainesville, Georgia had been homesick for Heaven for several months. On Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2026, she was reunited with her dad and mom, the late Loy and Bernice Bonds in their eternal home with the Lord. Wanda lived with her parents most of her life and frequently said how much she missed them.
Wanda is survived by her brother Doug Bonds, sister-in-law Suzann Bonds, niece Misty Barrere, nephew Timothy Bonds, great nephews Ben and Sam Barrere, and great niece Molly Barrere.
Wanda's life revolved around faith, family, and friends at three different churches. She was active in Central Baptist Church in her younger years, then Blackshear Place Baptist Church in mid-life, and most recently Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano and attending gospel music concerts. She looked forward to being with friends every Sunday studying the Bible together. Wanda eagerly anticipated yearly trips to the beach with family and close friends. She liked eating at her favorite seafood restaurants and playing in the ocean. She retired from State Farm Insurance Duluth, Ga. after 20 years of service in accounting where she developed many long-term friendships.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Wanda will be laid to rest with her dad and mom at Alta Vista Cemetery.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die."
