William Brett Patrick Obituary

William “Sir” Brett Patrick, 58, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away at Northeast Georgia Hospital on December 17th, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1966, in Winter Park, Florida, the son of CJ and Jean (Permenter) Patrick. While he departed far too soon, his life was rich and full of love and adventure.

Brett attended and earned his collegiate degree at Florida Community College, receiving over 24 professional education certificates from other institutes or universities. He then worked for John Deere, Siemens, Kubota, and the City of Gainesville. Finally finishing his professional career at Wrigley’s. He often would bring loads of gum home from work to share with his friends and family whom he loved and adored above all else. He was a man of many talents and enjoyed partaking in numerous activities throughout his life among them were camping, shooting guns, DIY projects, making bad dad jokes, and being “EXTRA”, He delighted in shopping on Amazon to spoil those he loved, pranking his children and showing off his intelligence by “being Google”. In his younger years, Brett enjoyed working on vehicles, specifically a 72’ mint green Blazer, cycling, and sailing.

He was a Boy Scout earning the rank of Eagle Scout in his youth and was inducted into The Order of the Arrow.  He then guided two of his sons to become Eagle Scouts. He spent years as a Boy Scout Club Master of Den 225. He later taught his love of sailing to his sons and other young adults while being the skipper of the local Sea Scout Ship 109 Hazzard.

Brett was always willing to help his children and bonus children whenever they needed help. He was the best papa/dad/role model!

Sir is survived by his wife, Michelle.  He had two sons from his previous marriage, Conrad (Grace) Patrick and Sean Patrick. Four Bonus Children from his current marriage one son Seth. Three daughters: Sammi (Aaron), Loggan (Thailyn), and Trish, plus three grandchildren Quinlyn, Warner, and Millie. Brett is also survived by his mother Jean Patrick, sister Ashley (Lee) Turtletaub, and niece Brooke. He also leaves behind friends who were more like siblings: Sarah, Doug, Jonah, and finally Eddie and Sam with their two children Hezekiah “Hez” and Aaliyah.
