Wynell Virginia (Brown) Lathem

Wynell Virginia Brown Lathem, 86 of Gainesville passed away Thursday December 2, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville Campus.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Lathem was the daughter of the late Otis Guy and Lois Virginia Brown.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church Gainesville, where she was a very active member of the Joy Sunday School class.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Beth Lathem; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Wes Phillips, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Brad Lathem, Gainesville; Kristen Butler, Norfolk, VA; Katie Anna Phillips Williams and Leslie Phillips, both of Gainesville;  great grandchildren, Sam and Jack Butler, Norfolk, VA; 

Mrs. Lathem is preceded in death by her parents, husband William L. "Bill" Lathem and son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Robin Lathem.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday  from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
