I am so saddened by Gary's death. He was my long-term dentist who worked so hard to save my teeth. He was always honest, direct, and very fair financially. Pam, Allysa, and others who have been part of his staff are more than staff, they are great and I love them,as I did Gary, as part of my family.
My love and prayers are there for Kathy, Carolyn, and the remaining boys. Their mom was one of my nursing instructors. She was a force to be reckoned with and Gary had many of her qualities, such as honesty, perfectionism, being trustworthy and highly skilled. He will be greatly missed!

I am so saddened by Dr. Merritt's passing. I am one of his patients, and one of the many things that set him over and above other doctors was his honesty; never would he suggest a procedure I didn't need. I was never nervous about any procedure he performed, as he always took the greatest care to assure whatever he did would be as painless as possible. What a wonderful medical professional and man! All of you will be in my prayers. Rest in Peace, Dr. Merritt; you'll be very much missed...

To Dr. Merritt, my friend and dentist. You will be missed greatly. I will never forget your laugh and the huge heart you had for others. Your staff are blessed to have worked for someone that thought of them as family and not just employees. You have forever touched my heart in a special way. My heart is saddened with this loss.

I am saddened to hear about Dr. Merritt's passing. He was my dentist for years and was such a nice person. I remember last year I had an emergency dental issue over the Christmas holidays. I called his office for an appointment, they squeezed me in, and he even gave me his cell and home phone numbers in case I had any problems. He was very caring towards his patients and went above and beyond to help them. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Merritt. He became my dentist when we moved to Gainesville in 2006. One of the reasons was because he was my Mom and Dad's dentist. He always took special care of me when needed. Since we both had CKS, I always got to play with Kingston & Camden on every visit. Pam and Alyssa are the best. He will truly be missed!

Dr. Merritt was a dear friend and colleague. I thoroughly enjoyed working in his office with Pam, Elyssa and Becky. It was always a pleasure to bring my laughter to his office. He was a fine clinician who really cared for his patients and staff. They were a part of his family too!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family, patients and staff! He will miss missed by us all! A truely good guy, a bit rough around the edges, but truely a good guy!

Dr. Merritt had taken care of my dental needs for 20 yrs +. He was always kind but very professional. He took care to make me comfortable. I saw him when I was in need of a crown. He said to me the first time I went to him: "Millie, if you should have a problem day or night call me." We are very saddened to hear of his passing, it is like loosing a very close friend. We will miss him. I pray God's richest blessings on his family and those who he loved.

Gary and I were friends since high school and he had been my dentist since he started practicing in Gainesville--We always had a good time catching up when I went in for a cleaning or something more serious--Had a great staff and I will miss seeing them.

Gary was a dear friend and a wonderful dentist. I always trusted his advice and knew he was a straight shooter that would never try to push any service on you that wasn't necessary. He would even argue with me when I would request something that he didn't think should be done! I adored his staff and his service dogs! Rich and I send our love to all! Vickie White
