it was my pleasure to meet ms. shi through my church, gainesville first united methodist. within five minutes of meeting her, i felt like i'd known her for a very long time. so cordial and pleasant and a joy to sit and chat with. we loved talking about our dogs. she was thrilled when i brought mine to visit her at lanier village. she always spoke so proudly of her family and fondly of her husband. now they are together. to be honest with you, i don't think ms. shi would care for this music. she always had rock n roll playing on her stereo! i promised to make her cornbread when i saw her next. i will miss our visits

Steve,
Please accept my condolence on the passing of your Mother. It appears that she had a full and joyous life. I know how it feels to lose a family member, no matter the age when they pass (my ex-wife, Diane, died this past September 15th and my youngest Daughter, Laura, died on December 15th. I know that your mother is in a better place and at peace.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I know from experience that the loss of a mother of father is about as tough as it gets. You can never totally prepare for it nor get completely over it. Our hearts go out to you & your family at this time and pray for GOD's comfort and peace for each of you.

Dear Stephen and Betsy,
After reading about Evelyn Shi (Frye), I know how many lives she touched for the better. You were all so fortunate to have such a fine lady in your family. I lost my mother almost 30 years ago and the world lost a great person, also. So you are so fortunate to have had her with you to the present. I will make a donation to the Samaritan Fund at Lanier Village Estates in her memory.
May God bless you,
June P. Miller
