May God and those close to your family comfort your family. Revelation 21 vs. 4 talks about the hope that God has for our dead loved ones. The last enemy death will surely, he will do away with, 1 Corinthians 15 vs. 26

I am so sad to hear of Mac's passing - you are gone too soon, my friend, and we will all miss you. He was truly and good and kind person, and my heart goes out to Madge, Patsy and the rest of his family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Patsy, I'm so sorry to hear about Mac. I saw him a few years ago at a Miller-Lanier reunion. He gave me a big hug and smile, and I was surprised that he even remembered me! Hearing about Mac brought back a flood of memories of growing up at Cherokee Hts Methodist Church. The Watkins, Graham, and Leonard families were so intertwined. All of them were so dear and loved by my folks. I'm so sorry that I didn't know Mac's wife - she must have been pretty special to be loved by him. Please give her my condolences. In symphathy and love to you and Bobby, Wanda

Mac and I were childhood friends. I lived on Burton Ave.--one street from Mimosa. Our families were friends from Cherokee Heights Methodist Church. Mac and I were the same age and Patsy was the same age as my brother Tommy. We spent many evenings together until we moved to Atlanta in 1955. I didn't see him after his days at Emory, but our parents kept in touch. Funny thing--we live in Gainesville too. Wish we had known and could have gotten together. My heart is sad for your loss.

My family lived on Carlisle Ave. around the corner from Mimosa Dr. Mac was a friend to my two older brothers, Larry and Jerry Gleaton. He remembered me being the little sister and friended me on facebook. I am sorry to hear about Mac's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Mac was one of my dearest friends for over forty years. We worked together at two different companies.
Although many miles separated us in recent years, our last meeting - at our 70th / 71st birthday party weekend was memorable.
Pam and I send our heartfelt condolences to Madge, Patsy and Mac's extended family.
We will greatly miss this lovely guy.

My deepest and warmest sympathies to the family. Mac and I played many a game of basketball in my backyard on Mimosa Drive. I have great memories of being in their home directly across the street from my house. I also enjoyed hearing Mac play the piano and he played by ear. To this day I can remember him playing the theme from "Exodus" for me. My love to you Patsy, his sister. You and the family are in my prayers. Tom (Tommy) King, Knoxville, TN.

Madge, the sense of loss is overwhelming. You are in our thoughts every day and i'd like to share this poem that i alway felt comforting............

From Walt Whitman:
"When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom'd
and the great star early droop'd in the western sky in the night"
I mourn'd and yet shall mourn with ever-returning spring."
