Nancy touched my life in the short time that I got to know her. Such a beautiful lady with the smile of an angel. She fought a long hard battle, and now is in a place of tranquility...no pain and no suffering!
I know you all will miss her greatly as she was your families matriarch. Moms are very special and I could tell that Nancy was so loved by you all.
John Jr. John Sr. daughter, grandchildren and the rest of the family and close friends I send heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you all.
May the love and support of family and friends and all the special memories help you through this difficult time.

Dear Thompson family,
I was saddened to hear about Mrs. Thompson’s passing, and I’m sorry for your loss. Mrs. Thompson was my 3rd grade teacher at Lyman Hall, and I loved her. I’ve never forgotten my multiplication facts that she taught me (along with other lessons she taught), Mrs. Thompson was my favorite teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Warm regards,
Robyn Adams

Dear Thompson Family,
I wanted to write all of you together to let you know how saddened I was to hear of Mrs. Thompson’s passing. I know this has brought nothing but sadness to all of you, and I hope you know that there are so many people around who want to help.
I worked with Mrs. Thompson at Lyman Hall Elementary. (I was never able to call her Nancy at school, and I still cannot.) I taught first grade and she was down the hall from me in the third grade. She was very kind to me and offered encouragement whenever I needed.
Her family was often the topic of conversation when we had an opportunity to talk to each. I left Lyman Hall in 1997 to teach at North Hall Middle. Absences does not all make it easy to keep in touch with people one has worked with over the years. I know she will be greatly missed by her family the people in her wide community.
Having lost both of my parents and a brother, I know each of you is mourning independently, but I hope you will also rely on one another to get you through this. No one knew Mrs. Thompson better, so sharing stories and memories with each other can only help. It might be painful at first, but once you start laughing about Mrs. Thompson doing something funny, quirky, etc., you'll realize that you're starting to feel a little better.
Warm regards,
Elaine Gowder
