Enough can't be said for my childhood best friend's (Shane)daddy. Phil was the man you'd want YOUR Daddy to be. AND he made THE BEST marshmallow and peanut butter sandwiches in the world :) He'd get so mad at Shane & I for singing and dancing all around the house. What a character! I know he is hugging his baby girl in Heaven and telling everyone all about sports in his loud voice! What a loss but what a blessing to have known Phil. May God Bless your family.

Phil Jackson was an inspiration to those of us who wished to be writers, never wanted to be boring, and hope something we wrote or said helped someone. I read his writing as long as I could find it. Sometimes I would reread just to enjoy all including the facts, the clarity and the humor. RIP. I pray to God for comfort for all of your family.

Phil was one of the most respected journalist among North Georgia law enforcement officers during my career with the Gainesville Police Department. He was honest and trustworthy. He knew more jokes than anyone I ever met and when he and John Crudup where in the same room it was Showtime! I will greatly miss this man and his contributions to our world. Thanks Phil!
