Virginia, I just found this obituary for Bill. I had no idea that he was gone. Thinking back over the years, he was always a friendly, happy, full of life and love type of person. The ecards the two of you have sent me over the years were wonderful and the anticipation of receiving one of them was wonderful. I looked forward to seeing the both of you are the conventions and meetings. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be missed, especially by me.

We were so sorry to hear about Bill. I remember when you both brought ribeye steaks to our apartment when the twins were born. Also remember when Jack and Janie Wolf had a party for us prior before our wedding. Bill had a very funny gift for me that night. Sorry we could not be there for his funeral. Caitlin had a baby, our second grandson, in San Franscico. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Virginia,
I am so sorry that Bill has passed.

He was a very special man. Just knowing that he was in the world made it seem like a better place to me. His kindness, generosity, good humor and genuine love for others made him a treasure to those of us who were lucky enough to be his friend.

I will always be grateful to him for the many ways he helped me in high school and in college. He gave me encouragement and support when I needed it most. Undoubtedly, there are many others whose lives are better because of him.

At various times, he was my teacher, my counselor, and my boss. He was always my friend, and my every memory of him is a pleasant one.

Virginia, I pray that God will give you comfort and strength and that he will bless you in your every need.
With love and respect,

Bill

Virginia & Family,
How the energy works...I've been trying to get in touch with Bill for the last couple months to no avail and am saddened to know of his passing. Bill succeeded me as the SACRAO Newsletter Editor so very long ago and we enjoyed so many good times, good laughs, good stories. He was a proud and dedicated Delta SkyMiles fan and it was always such a joy to be with both of you. He was a good colleague! Miss Him! Peace.

Oh dear Virginia... I'm devastated and at a loss for words. Bill has always one of the very special people in my life. I cannot imagine no more lovely and sometimes funny emails from him. Opening my computer and seeing his name on the list of received messages gave me joy. Every minute spent with him at our conferences was special and always so happy. He brightened this world. He brightened my life.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was a great friend and colleague during our service together in SACRAO. I always enjoyed his wisdom and great sense of humor. He was very instrumental in developing the ongoing relationship between the Georgia and Florida registrar groups - a legacy the continues today. He will be missed by all of us who had the privilege to know him and work with him.

Virginia, you and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was a regular in SACRAO throughout his career. He did much for our profession and contributed to the lives of so many of us. It was always a joy to visit with Bill. His positive approach to life and good humor always set us right. I'm smiling right now recalling the "good old days" of SACRAO meetings past and times with Bill. Heartfelt sympathies go to his family and his community.

Words can't even describe how this man has touched so many. I worked with Bill and Virginia a long time ago when I first came to Georgia. They welcomed me with open arms, me and my whole family. My parents would come to visit from Nebraska and you both made it seem like a family reunion. He made all of us feel like we were the most important people on this earth. I will miss him dearly. You have all my love and prayers Virginia as I know you will miss him terribly. Love, Pam

We were so sorry to hear about Bill's death. I will always remember his support, guidance and encouragement when I was a student at Gainesville College. His sense of humor and his "serious side" of showing me the importance of academics were invaluable to me. Virginia, you and Bill were great neighbors to Mother and Dad as well as others on our street. Your recent kindness and card to Mom brightened her outlook for many days. Thanks for reaching out to her! Sending love, prayers and sympathy.

Having recently learned of the loss of your loved one , I extend my deepest sympathy to you. During this difficult time I wanted to share the hope found in the Bible, the hope of the resurrection. Jesus stated at John 5:28,29 "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus] voice and come out." And at Revelation 21:3,4 it states that there will be a time when "death will be no more." Sorry for your loss.

Bill was my "happy place". We were best pals. It was routine that he made everyone feel exceptional in his presence. Bill filled the room with laughter and joy. He just attracted a crowd. Bill got it right... he put people first! The world is a less blessed place without him, but I for one have learned from him. He and Virginia were a team and soul mates who worked unselfishly for all of us! They are the God parents to our daughter, Meredith and at times served as my parents.

Bill was a giant in my life and my mentor. I was proud that he counted me as a friend.

We will miss him terribly on this earth, but look forward to seeing him in heaven. I know he is already sharing his best jokes with the Lord as we tell Beppy goodbye.

Joe
