Lawrence Edward Eschen

Lawrence E. Eschen, 94, of Gainesville, GA. passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born September 22, 1920 in Suffern, New York, Mr. Eschen was the son of the late James and Eugenie Miller Eschen.  Larry played baseball in 1942 for the Philadelphia Athletics and he also played in a game with Joe Dimaggio.  He served in the United States Army during World War II and fought at the Battle of the Bulge.  After his service during the war, Larry went on to teach and coach at schools in New York where he retired from. Larry is preceded in death by his wife and daughter.

He touched many lives and was a very humble man.

At Larry's request there will be no services held.
